Applications must be submitted online. To access the application, log in to myBama, and choose the Admissions/Scholarships link located in the menu bar on the left side of the screen. On the Admissions/Scholarships page, the Scholarships pane is to the immediate right of the menu bar. Under the Undergraduate Students Only subheading, choose the Bernard Osher Reentry Scholarship link to proceed to the online form.

 

The Osher Reentry Scholarship Program provides
support for undergraduate students who have
experienced at least a five-year gap in their
education.

Applicants must be current or admitted students
at The University of Alabama in a campus-based
degree program.

Osher Reentry Scholarships may be awarded to
full- and part-time undergraduate students between
the ages of 25 and 50 who:

have experienced a cumulative gap in their education of five or more years (The most recent reentry term must be summer 2016 or later.)
are completing their first baccalaureate degree
anticipate being employed for a significant period of time after graduation
demonstrate financial need (not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines)
show academic promise and a commitment to completing their degree (Preference will be given to qualified applicants with a current or previous minimum overall GPA of 2.75.)

Osher Reentry Scholars must register for at least six
credit hours per term to remain eligible for the scholarship.

Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. CDT on
September 1, 2018.
