The application for the Bernard Osher Reentry Scholarship will be available online only. You must log onto myBama at www.mybama.ua.edu in order to apply. Click the “Academics” tab at the top of the page. Click on the "Bernard Osher Reentry Scholarship” link which is located under the "Scholarships" section in the middle of the page. You must be currently admitted or accepted for admission in order to submit an application.
The Bernard Osher Foundation Reentry
Scholarship program targets part-time and
full-time undergraduate reentry students
who are currently enrolled or accepted for
admission to The University of Alabama in
a campus-based degree program. (Must not
be in a distance degree program)
Applicants must:
| • | Have experienced a cumulative gap in their
education of five (5) or more years prior
to their reentry term (reentry term must be Fall
2011 forward) |
| • | Be pursuing their first baccalaureate degree |
| • | Show academic promise and
commitment to obtaining their degree (preference will be given to those with a 2.75 overall GPA or higher) |
| • | Ideally be between 25-50 years of age and anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time subsequent to graduation |
| • | Applicants must demonstrate
financial need (not necessarily as
defined by federal guidelines) |
